Happy New Year ! Cooperatics from 2005 to 2006

First, I would like to wish you all a very happy New Year. May it bring you success and dreams come true. I’d also like to share with you what happened for Cooperatics during 2005 and some projects for 2006.

2005 was a particularly active year for Cooperatics. The traffic of the French blog, Cooperatique.com, created in June 2004, has dramatically increased from a monthly 1,500 pages in February to more than 10,000 pages in December 2005. This can be explained by a growing interest for cooperation and its technologies as well as by a series of events more directly connected to Cooperatics.

In March, my book Wikis, zones of collective intelligence was published. At the same time, wikis became more popular and the book could benefit from an excellent media coverage and enthusiastic readers’ comments. To go even further, the Web site leswikis.com was launched as an information source for everything wiki.

In August 2005, Cooperatics became a consulting and training firm. Already seven clients chose Cooperatics to help them benefit from cooperative management and tools. Various initiatives were launched with these clients, such as the roll-out of a project planning wiki, the use of a wiki on a Web site development project and of another one to help write a whitepaper. On top of that, Cooperatics was invited to teach in one of the major French engineering schools, Ecole Centrale de Paris.

I could also present cooperative management concepts during a conference organized by the Institut International du Multimédia (International Institute for Multimedia) , various dedication sessions and took part to the virtual conference Online Social Networks 2005.

I have many projects for Cooperatics in 2006. First, I will teach at ISTIN (Computer science, networks and telecom school) and at one of the main French Universities, Université Paul Verlaine in Metz. With my friend and partner Yann Gourvennec of Visionarymarketing, we also made a proposal for a presentation on the impact of cooperative management and tools in business at the March 2006 RIM (Relationship Intelligence Management) Conference. Cooperatics will also continue working, with companies with some interesting opportunities related to competitive intelligence.

Of course, Cooperatics will continue to bring you information and analyses about the latest trends in cooperative management and technologies. And we are open to partnerships with other companies.

In brief, 2006 is likely to be a very exciting year! Stay tuned !
